Symposium: Societal Transformation in the Eastern Neighbourhood and the Mediterranean South
The IIP supports already since many years the International Neighbourhood Symposium organised by Dimitrios Triantaphyllou, advisory board member of IIP and director of the Centre for International and European Studies (CIES) at the Kadir Has University. The 2016 topic has been “Societal Transformation in the Eastern Neighbourhood and the Mediterranean South”. Participants came from the countries concerned (Afghanistan, Syria, Turkey, Georgia, Uzbeskistan, Belarus, Kyrgystan, Greece, Moldova, Ukraine, Italy, Lebanon, USA, Romania, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Jordan, India, Russia, Israel, Senegal, UK and Serbia). Stephanie Fenkart staid the whole time in Istanbul and was observing and commenting the symposium.
